This weekend will be hectic.
Tomorrow (Friday, August 28th, 2009) is Friday Night Riot at Churchill's. Put together by Riot Agents, this show continues to impress with its various random moshing and more than decent bands.
Churchill's Pub - Riot Agents, Guahiro, Nobodys Hero, Los Imigrantes (if this is the same band I saw last time with what looked like all mexican day laborers, it was damn good), Crash Fist Fight
probably ~9pm, $5, probably 18+ (Flier)
Saturday are 3 shows: one in Lake Worth, one in West Palm Beach, one in Sunrise. The really cool thing? They're all all-ages and free!! If you're anywhere near any of these shows go check them out - you cannot beat free entertainment and great music.
J & P's (1600 North Dixie Hwy, West Palm Beach, FL) - The 1%, The Livvers, O.P.S., 1 Hit Left, To Be Hated, Fall of Olympus, Xterminatus, Routine Scheme, Free Radicals, Anger The Gods, Hate Machine, Installing Chaos, Black Weather Shaman, Jolly Bad Fellow, The Clockouts, Nation of Decay
3pm to 3am, all ages, free (Flier)
Radio active Records - Jolly Badfellow, The Strikeouts, Birds Make Bombs Not Feathers (The Clockouts dropped out)
6:30pm, all ages, free (Flier)
Propaganda (6 South J Street, Downtown Lake Worth, FL) - Kill Now?!, Die Stinkin', The Ridicules
10pm (Flier)
Sunday, August 30th, 2009 is the best event out of all of 'em to me... A record swap, A punk movie, and a live show - all free! You can't beat these free shows.
Cinema Paradiso (503 SE 6th Street, Fort Lauderdale, FL) - The Ruins, Tongues of the Heartworm, Anchorman
8pm, all ages, free (Flier)
There's a new show for next week, too:
Saturday, September 5th, 2009 - Murderous Rampage, Band No. 12, Chambers, Break On Through, Anteaters and the Women Who Love Them, Catalonia, Dooms De Pop @ The Bubble.
This is an all-ages show for $5 at an art space. Lots of kegs will be in attendance, so sounds like a good deal...

More shows in Delray, West Palm Beach
This Friday, August 21st, 2009 at Dada's (52 N Swinton Ave, Delray Beach, FL) The Dirty Boxes and Cindy & The Heartaches play at 11PM (no cover).
Also on Saturday, August 22nd, 2009 at Respectable Street (500 Clematis St, West Palm Beach, FL) there's a block party spanning Respectables and O'Shea's Pub. Angry Pudding as well as The Freakin Hott, Viva Le Vox, Tongues of the Heartworm, and others will be playing the back patio of O'Shea's amongst other places. I don't have any more info on this, but if you're near Clematis around 8pm an open bar and free pizza sounds like a good time to me.
Did I mention they both appear to be free? Probably 18+ or 21+ each show.

This Saturday: No Class Action, The Shakers @ O'Malley's
Another show I barely missed... Thank Bob for myspace bulletins or i'd never know what's going on.
Saturday, August 22nd, 2009: No Class Action plays with The Shakers down at O'Malley's Sports Bar (1388 N State Road 7, Margate, FL) around 8PM. This little bar has a lot of room, and good cheese fries.
They're also playing with Howitzer at Churchill's a day before my birthday. What a nice present! I can get hammered and listen to two of my favorite south florida punk bands in one of my favorite dives. (They should really have shows at Green Briar, imho)
*update* the bands start at 10PM with No Class Action, The Shakers and Ate Away

Upcoming events for September 2009
This month is Churchill's Pub's 30th anniversary.
There's another good Oi/Hardcore show at Churchill's and even a Thrash/Hardcore show at The Firefly (which I recommend to those who haven't been, but parking is tough and bring bug spray).

Upcoming events for August 2009
We're already halfway through the month and there's more shows a-comin'.
Also this month is the second punk record-swap-movie-show event "Can I Say II".
There are three different shows on August 29th. To me this indicates a lack of communication between punk promoters down here, but what the hell do I know?
